It’s an exciting time with many roles opening up across various sectors. Whether you’re seeking a community-focused position or a remote opportunity, there’s something for everyone out there. Keep moving forward and good luck with your applications!
I landed a remote primary care contract last month by searching for ‘telehealth’ and ‘asynchronous’ and filtering for ‘fully remote’ — but half the listings were hybrid. Ask up front about multi-state licensure and whether they cover EMR/laptop stipends; treat ‘remote’ like a lab value — verify the range.
Anyone else notice the “remote” tag is slippery — — half are “1–2 days onsite”? I’ve had better luck filtering for “telehealth” + “asynchronous” like @Guide said, then DM’ing recruiters to confirm time zone, EMR, and W2 vs 1099 before applying since these are posted in real-time and vanish fast. Small tip: add “panel,” “per-visit,” or “inbox” to your search to surface true work-from-home primary care, but expect slightly lower rates on purely asynchronous gigs.
For home-based telehealth, NLC multistate license sped up onboarding; check https://www.ncsbn.org/compact. Some community clinics still need local address.
Adding InterQual/MCG and “Epic MyChart telehealth” to my resume spiked callbacks for remote review and virtual primary care within a week. @p_robinson > https://www.ncsbn.org/compact. Some community clinics still need local address. That’s been true in my searches, though the right keywords still got me through ATS even without a local address.
Adding ‘asynchronous chart review’ and ‘eConsult’ to my resume and listing my wired internet speed got me faster screenings for remote FM. Building on @ggilbert12, if you’re an MD/DO, the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact can speed extra state licenses: https://www.imlcc.org. Just note some ‘remote’ roles still want your time zone or occasional clinic days — remote isn’t always ‘from your couch’.
Quick tip: updating my CAQH with telemedicine malpractice and fresh primary-source docs cut credentialing to about 2 weeks for a remote FM role. Because these are ‘real-time and might expire,’ I put my CAQH ID and ET availability at the top of my resume and got same-day screens. Caveat: if you lack hospital privileges, say “outpatient only” to avoid payer slowdowns.
Leaning into the “real-time” rush, I started listing ET/CT hours and “same-day telehealth overflow” on my CV and got two remote FM callbacks in 48 hours. Building on @ggilbert12, adding “IMLC active” (or the exact states) sped things up too, though a few roles still insist on the specific patient-state license before screening.
