I’m looking for CE that goes beyond mechanism reviews and focuses on real‑world effectiveness and pharmacovigilance — ideally content on interpreting FAERS/Sentinel signals and absolute risk (excess events per 1,000). If you’ve taken a strong course in the past 6 months that sharpened your appraisal of phase IV data without overstating weak signals, I’d appreciate the title/provider. If serious symptoms or urgent safety issues arise, patients should be referred to a licensed professional immediately.
I got the most practical reps from FDA’s Sentinel Training and Webinars (https://www.fda.gov/safety/fdas-sentinel-initiative/training-and-webinars); not CE per se, but the case walk‑throughs made it easy to translate FAERS/Sentinel signals into absolute risk per 1,000 without overcalling noise. If you need formal credit, the ISPE pre‑conference short course on signal detection paired nicely to round it out.
DSRU’s Signal Detection & Benefit–Risk Assessment course (CPD) was the most useful I’ve taken in the past 6 months; they have you turn PRR/ROR into excess events per 1,000 and dissect FAERS/Sentinel signals without overcalling: https://www.dsru.org/education/signal-detection-benefit-risk/. Caveat: it’s UK‑leaning (more EudraVigilance), so I paired it with ISPE’s advanced pharmacoepi short course for a US phase IV lens — cured my ‘volcano plot = verdict’ habit.
Found DIA’s Benefit–Risk Assessment workshop (Nov): FAERS to ‘absolute risk’ plus Sentinel cases; CE, pricey.
